Ky-Mani, who is among the richest and most famous Reggae singers was born on 26 February 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. Shottas was one of the most acclaimed films in which he appeared with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani enlisted Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996 like Father Like Son and several singles including Judge Not With Patra followed by Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap Does It (remix) as well as Sensimelia all of which added to his rising popularity in the new wave of reggae musicians. Ky-Mani teamed up with Praswell of Fugees to record Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant. The song became a massive hit in 1997.
