Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. From her teens she has been involved in popular music and flamenco. Also, she has explored various genres, including hip-hop soul and trap. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, however she still with the bite of older singers. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually getting a Grammy. The track La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami was a collaboration with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The album was released on March 20th, 2022 following the performance by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia is the first Spanish artist to have performed in a solo performance on the show. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home the Latin Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first woman in history to be awarded this award.
